No.49/2006 Nord Pool Spot implements new website

The new Nord Pool Spot website will be implemented 12 September 2006 and can be found using the web address www.nordpoolspot.com. The site will also be integrated as a part of the Nord Pool Group website www.nordpool.com - “spot market“.

The Nord Pool Spot web page has a brand new design with new functionalities making it easy to search for information and allowing users to customize presentation and downloading of Elspot market data. The interactive map of the Nord Pool Spot Exchange Area on the front page will present system and area prices, trading capacity and Elspot flow as they are published during the day.

The Elspot market data section on the new website has been redesigned and data has been divided into Elspot market data, Elbas and Power System data. Users can specify what type of data they want to look at using drop down menus from the front page. Data will then be presented in tables and can easily be converted into graphs and all Elspot market data can be exported to Excel.

An RSS feed is available for those who want to receive immediate updates when Nord Pool Spot publishes Exchange Information, Operating Messages and Urgent Market Messages (UMM’s). This will require that you have an RSS aggregator installed on your PC. An alternative to the RSS feed is the alert function. Subscribers will then receive Nord Pool Spot Exchange Information and Press Releases directly to their e-mail address.

Please click “Mobile, alerts and feeds” in the global menu on the top of the new website for information on how to activate the RSS feed and/or the alert subscription.
