No.54/2006 Elbas KONTEK Germany - first contract traded shortly after opening today


Nord Pool Spots German intra day market Elbas KONTEK opened today, 25 September at 08:00 CET, and the first contract was traded shortly after opening.

The first Elbas contract of 20 MWh at a price of 37 € was executed between Statkraft Markets GmbH and RWE Trading GmbH at 08:20 CET! At the opening, 10 participants had signed participant agreements and a number of participants are in the process of signing the Elbas market member agreement. Elbas KONTEK will open for cross border intra day trading between Germany and the Nordic region at 14:00 CET today, 25 September.

Until 31 December 2006 there are no fixed or variable fees for trading Elbas in Germany. If you sign the Elbas and/or Elspot agreement within 31 December 2006 there are no annual fixed fees for Elbas in Germany in 2007. Variable fees as of 1 January 2006 for trading Elspot is 0,03 EUR/MWh and for trading Elbas 0,08 EUR/MWh.
