No.06/2009 Nord Pool Spot price calculation for 9 January 2009
Nord Pool Spot experienced technical problems in the SESAM trading system when calculating the Elspot prices for 9 January 2009. The market was informed through an operational message coordinated with Nord Pool’s financial market via their electronic trading system CLICK Trade XTTM.
Nord Pool Spot decided to calculate the prices a second time to ensure that the prices published on 8 January at 13.08 CET were correct. This calculation resulted in marginal changes in area prices from the first calculation.
If similar incidents should occur, Nord Pool Spot will in the future inform the market through an urgent market message (UMM) or exchange information.
Nord Pool Spot apologises for any inconvenience this may have caused market participants.
