No.66/2008 UMM guidelines updated and published on Nord Pool’s website

Nord Pool Spot AS and Nord Pool ASA have revised the guidelines for writing and publishing urgent market messages (UMMs).

According to disclosure 1 to the market conduct rules at Nord Pool Spot AS and Nord Pool ASA all participants are obliged to disclose any inside information relating to the Nordic electricity market.

Irrespective of any participant membership with Nord Pool Spot or Nord Pool the Nordic transmission system operators (TSOs) are also under similar disclosure obligations through the data publication agreement between Nord Pool Spot and the Nordic TSOs.

Nord Pool and Nord Pool Spot have, in consultation with participants and the Nordic TSOs, revised the existing guidelines. There are two sets of guidelines – one set for participants and one set for the TSOs. The guidelines are meant to be an explanation and help for the participants and the TSOs when writing and publishing UMMs.
 
These updated guidelines are published on the Nord Pool Spot and Nord Pool websites and within the UMM application.
