No.06/2008 Erik Saether new CEO of Nord Pool Spot
(Lysaker, 4 April 2008) The board of Nord Pool Spot AS has elected Erik Saether as new CEO of the company.
Erik Saether has a long career in energy trading and portfolio management. He comes from Vattenfall where he has played a key role in building up the company's trading business and organisation, as responsible for Vattenfall Trading Services. Saether is a Norwegian citizen but has lived last 13 years abroad in Sweden, Germany and USA.
"Erik Saether is very experienced and well connected in the Nordic and European energy markets. With his proven leadership skills he is a perfect match for keeping the Nordic power exchange as an international benchmark and prepare for European integration," says Juha Kekkonen, chair of the board.
Saether will take over the CEO post on 1 July.
