Trading at NPG

Trading at Nord Pool Gas is based on continuous trading. Continuous trading is by principle a trading platform where all the bids and asks are to be seen in every product.

This enables market players to announce either sales/purchase bids on the trading platform at any times. Other market players can decide whether they wish to accept a sale/purchase bid published on the trading platform, or they have the opportunity to provide the market with a better price. Trading is anonymous and electronic via the internet on a trading platform provided by Trayport.

Trading can be executed from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Products with delivery the following day terminates at 1:00 PM.

Trading at Nord Pool Gas can start when the requirements set by Nord Pool Gas is met (please see the menu to the left – How to become a participant).
