Trading applications & systems
Nord Pool Spot offers two internet applications for trading at Elspot and Elbas.
Elbas
The Elbas system allows the participants to easily follow the situation on the market, place bids and follow trade and cash-flow information in real-time.
Enex trading system does not request any Point-to-Point or dedicated lines. The system includes all back office features and automatic reporting (incl. EDIEL format) to dedicated servers. The system has high availability and fills industry standards for security.
SESAM web
SESAM is the Elspot trading system. Using the SESAM web client, Elspot participants can send bids for trading in Elspot. Through SESAM web the participants can easily check that their bids have been transmitted correctly to the SESAM database – giving extra security when trading. The system also provides market results, including a portfolio specific trade result report. These are distributed after the prices and volumes for the day ahead delivery are calculated and published by Nord Pool Spot.
The participant logs in to the application using a digipass and a personal username and password. All exchange of data is being encrypted, also user-id and password. The trading application is web based, so there is no need for downloading any software. The link to SESAM web can be found in the column to the right.
